A Hong Kong Lisa’s Fan Nearly Sent to Wrong Concert Due to Her Father’s Mistake

According to a local Hong Kong media report, a teenage girl, known as A, was thrilled to hear that Lisa would be holding a fan meeting on the 19th in Hong Kong. A, an avid fan of Lisa, asked her father, B, to purchase a ticket. Wanting to fulfill his daughter’s wish, B quickly bought the tickets. However, the ticket he handed her was not for BLACKPINK’s Lisa.
Instead, B had bought a ticket to a concert by Liza Wang, a 77-year-old veteran singer and actress in Hong Kong, mistaking her for the K-pop star Lisa. Unfamiliar with K-pop and BLACKPINK, B heard “Lisa” and thought of the famous star from his own generation. Coincidentally, Liza Wang also had an upcoming concert, making her tickets easily available.

This amusing mix-up was shared on a local Facebook page on the 29th of last month, going viral across social media in Hong Kong. Many netizens were amused, commenting, “She must have been surprised to see Liza Wang instead of Lisa,” and “Perhaps the father wanted to share a concert experience with his daughter featuring a star he knew.”
Fortunately, B was able to get the correct ticket for Lisa’s fan meeting, allowing A to attend Lisa’s event while also enjoying Liza Wang’s concert with her father.
Lisa’s fan meeting will take place at Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Arena, and Liza Wang’s concert will be held at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
Meanwhile, Lisa recently strengthened her global stardom by winning “Best K-pop” at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards and dazzling at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York last month, where she opened the event alongside pop icons Cher and Tyla, even making a grand entrance on a motorcycle and performing her hit song “ROCKSTAR.”
